Music Program

Dianella Primary College provides a creative, engaging, Music Program where students are encouraged to express themselves through singing, movement and playing of percussion instruments. Students are given every opportunity to experience all the joys and benefits that music can bring.

Each class from Kindergarten to Year 6 have a 50 minute music session each week.

Selected students are offered the opportunity to participate in the SIM (School of Instrumental Music) Program. Students participate in classical guitar lessons. The SIM program continues into the Secondary College, where students can continue to learn the guitar or participate in SIM voice sessions.

Students from year 3 - 6 are offered the opportunity to join our school choir. The choir performs at school and precinct events, as well as representing the school at massed choir events throughout the West Swan School network.

In Term 2 each year, Dianella Primary College hosts the Dianella Diamonds music competition. Students demonstrate their musical and performing skills in a very competitive and high standard highlight of the school year.
