Principal Position

Dear Families

I am writing to inform you of a change to the principal position for Term 1 2024. I have been asked to act as principal of Karrinyup Primary School for Term 1 next year. At this stage, the position is for Term 1 only, and I am planning on returning to Dianella Primary College for Term 2, however there is a possibility the position may be extended. 

This is an exciting opportunity for me as it will present a new challenge in my school leadership career. 

I was initially appointed to Mirrabooka Primary School as we were then known in 2015, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my 9 years working at Dianella Primary College. Over those 9 years, we have seen large changes in our student population, facilities, staffing and grounds. I am very proud of the school that we have become, and I will certainly miss the students, families and staff that make our school such a welcoming, diverse and culturally inclusive school.  

In my absence, Mrs Tanya Dique will take over the principal position. Mrs Dique is an experienced principal; she is currently the principal of Pine View Primary School after previously holding the principal position at Pickering Brook Primary School. I know that all of students and families will certainly make Mrs Dique welcome and I know she is looking forward to joining the DPC community.
