Week 6 Update

Music Assembly

This weeks school assembly was hosted by our amazing music students. Students from Room 1 performed an amazing djembe drumming performance that showcased their outstanding coordination skills, with the students form Room 1 then performing a percussion piece using xylophones and glockenspiels. Our talented choir performed an outstanding rendition of the song Superhero and our guitar group accompanied the birthday song and Wandjoo. The whole assembly was a fantastic showcase of our excellent music program and as a school we are certainly very fortunate to have such a wonderful music program run by Mrs Davey . Well done to all of our talented musicians and thank you Mrs Davey for all of your hard work. Congratulations to all of our honour certificate winners who were recognised for their ongoing display of our school values, please see the full list of winners below.

P&C Movie Night

Have you got your tickets? Tonight is the night for our P&C Outdoor family movie night. Access to the movie will be through Wewak Crt, with gates opening from 5.30pm, with the movie expected to start at around 6.30pm. The P&C will have a stand on the night, selling drinks, lollies and popcorn. There will also be a coffee van and ice-cream van available on-site for purchases.

Although the movie night is a free event, the P&C would certainly appreciate any donations from families attending to go towards their fundraising efforts.

Please note, the event is a family event, and all students are to be supervised by parents or an adult at all times. Students are not permitted to attend unless accompanied by an adult. Any students arriving by themselves will not be allowed to attend.

2024

As we are beginning to plan for 2024, I would ask that any families who know they will not be returning to Dianella Primary College next year for any reason to please let us know in the front office. Please either drop into the front office and let the staff know or telephone 9263 5100 or email dianella.pc@education.wa.edu.au so that we can effectively plan our 2024 class structures.

I would also ask that any families who will be away at the start of the school year due to extended holidays to please notify the school office in writing of your intended return date. This information is essential for our school funding.

Yr 6 Graduation

A reminder to all of our Yr 6 parents, our 2023 Graduation event will be held on Tuesday 12 December starting at 6pm. The event will again be held in the Dianella Secondary College performing arts centre. Due to our large number of graduates, each family will be limited to four tickets per family (Yr 6 students will not need a ticket)> Teachers will be sending home invitations in the next week or so asking for RSVP’s.
