Week 4 Update

Room 2 Assembly

Well done to Room 2 and Ms Scott who hosted this week’s very informative and entertaining assembly. The students have boon studying fires as part of the Yr 5 HASS Curriculum and they incorporated their learning into their assembly performance. A very informative presentation, well done. Congratulations to all of our Honour Certificate winners who were recognised for their ongoing display of our school values. See the full list of award winners below. I would also like to acknowledge our Yr 6 students who were presented with their citizenship certificates at the assembly. All of our Yr 6 students are encouraged to show leadership in the following areas: Community, Sport, Responsibility and Mentoring. Once the students have completed 10 citizenship activities, they are then presented with a certificate and a badge. It is fantastic to see so many of our Yr 6 students voluntarily completing these extra activities. Great work!

Family Well-Being Afternoon

Wow! How amazing was our Well-Being Afternoon? We had ana amazing turn out of parents and students who joined into all of the different activities. It was great to see so many families working together and learning about making healthy and positive choices. As a school we certainly hope that students and parents had lots of take aways from the day and will change habits for the better. I would like to say a massive thank you to all of our staff who made the day such a success. Without our fabulous teachers and assistants, these days would not be possible. Also, a big shout out of thanks to Miss Vince and Mrs Gullick for all of their hard work coordinating the day’s activities. Special mention to Bounce Back Bear who made a special appearance, thanks for joining us on the day! As you would be aware we had several raffles running during the afternoon, congratulations to the following students who will be bringing their prizes home today: Marcel, Eddie, Tanya, Asaf, Miguel, Olive, Zhen Yu, Kuenleg, Topgay, Jana, Sophia J, Shamitha and Illia.

As a school we are always looking for feedback and I would ask that any families that did join us on the afternoon, to please provide us with some feedback on the afternoon by completing the short survey.
